Welcome to Read an E-Book 2011.
This year we celebrated 40 years since e-books were created, as well as small presses
and authors who sell their own books. As you see from the icon on the right, we gave away some terrific prizes for eBook fans, donated by generous
supporters of electronic reading.
The results are in and once again Read an E-Book Week was extremely popular! Visitors came from 141 countries and spoke
76 languages - a slight increase over last year. Those visitors did spend more time on the site this year, undoubtedly checking out the
excellent range of e-books available.
Below, you will find a list of participants for this year's event. Although many of the freebies are gone there are still lots of sites
really worth looking at. And why not sample a genre you are not
familiar with -- it could become a new favorite!
EPIC, the Electronic Publishing Industry Coalition includes hundreds of professionals from all facets of the electronic
publishing industry: authors, publishers, editors, artists, and others. The members work together in a unique collaboration between authors and
publishers to further the industry.
